- All of key stage 3 students are currently doing a kite making project for their DT lessons whilst on the temporary timetable. They need to consider how a kite works and how to make it attractive for the customer. For home learning it would be great if you could go out and fly a kite with your child and possibly make a simple paper kite. I have attached a couple of instruction sheets to support you on this. Most importantly enjoy the process and our beautiful autumn environment. Please send in pictures, we would love to see them! ( Kite making, Kite Flying )

Year 11 – Students are currently doing their GSCE project based on Nature and the environment. They all have already chosen their client and target market but they still need to consider what product to make. Pupils should find images of products that support the nature and the environment, this could be for animals or insects such as bug hotels, bird houses, hedgehog hides or products made from environmentally friendly materials. This research could be done on a PC or images cut from magazines, photographs etc.Ms V Churchman
